Sending a birthday gift should be easy. In Verification Failed, a fictional banking app turns that small task into twelve increasingly ridiculous puzzles. Updates interrupt updates, a PIN pad rearranges itself, and support sends you around in circles. One wrong move sends the run back to the start.
We built the game as a browser interface, with generated CAPTCHA images, synthesized sound and a shareable result card. English and Korean versions adapt the jokes as well as the labels. The screens carry a parody notice, and password puzzles warn against real passwords. Local browser checks cover complete runs, failures and retries.
